Climate Skills and Community Building Fellowship
From April to July 2024, Break The Divide launched its first-ever Climate Skills & Community Building Fellowship, a free, multi-month program supporting international students and newcomer youth in Toronto through a powerful blend of climate education, professional development, and community building.
Created in partnership with the Synergia Institute and the Canadian CED Network, the Fellowship addressed barriers many newcomer youth face, including limited access to accredited training, difficulty forming social networks, and systemic exclusion from climate spaces. This initiative provided participants with the tools, confidence, and support to build local connections, deepen their climate literacy, and take meaningful action.
