The Saskatchewan Climate Education and Resilience Program

Calling all educators!!

Break The Divide is excited to be launching the 2026 Saskatchewan Climate Education and Resilience Program. This free 5-session program is designed for grades 7-12 in Moose Jaw and Regina and covers topics such as climate emotions, local climate change impacts, and how to take action in your community. The program is tailored to curricular outcomes, making it a great addition to any classroom!

How does it work?

Trained volunteer facilitators will run the sessions in your classroom and we will provide all necessary materials and learning resources.

The 5-Session Framework

LESSON #1

Climate Emotions Introduction

Students will learn the basics of climate emotions and take part in reflection activities.

LESSON #2

Understanding Climate Change & Local Environment

Students will learn about climate change in their local environment and identify changes currently experienced.

LESSON #3

Climate Emotions & Environmental Identity

Opportunity to share climate emotions through art-based interactive activities.

LESSON #4

Community Resilience & Action

Students learn how to take action in their communities, recognizing all change matters.

LESSON #5

Closing and Reflection

Students reflect on learning and work in groups to identify lessons learned.
